Hope Scholarship for Ukrainian and Central and Eastern European Students

 

Award Amount

  • A living allowance of NT$180,000 per year is provided for the normal duration of study in bachelor's programs and NT$240,000 per year for master's and doctoral programs; after enrollment in each semester, the Scholarship will be paid evenly over 4 months (NT$22,500 per month for bachelor's programs; NT$30,000 per month for master's and doctoral programs).
  • A one-way airplane ticket to Taiwan will be reimbursed based on actual cost (up to NT$30,000, with proof of purchase required).
  • The actual number of recipients and award amounts will be determined annually by the Committee based on the application pool. Upon review and approval by the Committee, recipients will receive waivers for tuition, basic fees, credit fees, and on-campus housing fees.


Eligibility

  • The scholarship recipients must be foreign-degree students (excluding transfer students and dual-degree program students) of Central and Eastern European nationalities. This includes Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia, Latvia, Estonia, Albania, and Cyprus.
  • Students who have not been awarded any financial aid from government agencies of the R.O.C. (Taiwan).
  • Students who are not employed under full-time contracts.
