2022 The Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs of the Department of Economics were accredited by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) in 2022.
2015 All programs—Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral—passed the accreditation conducted by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT).
2009 The Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs were accredited by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) in 2009.
2000 On February 1st, following the University's reorganization, the department was officially renamed as the "Department of Economics, College of Social Sciences, National Taipei University," encompassing Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs.
1997 The Evening Division was reorganized as the Division of Extension Education.
1995 In accordance with the newly amended University Act, the Graduate Institute of Economics was merged into the Department of Economics. The Department was reorganized into a comprehensive academic unit including Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs.
1991 The admission to the Regular Division of the undergraduate program was expanded to two classes.
1987 The Ph.D. program was established in the Graduate Institute of Economics at the College of Law and Business, National Chung Hsing University.
1979 The Master's program was established in the Graduate Institute of Economics at the College of Law and Business, National Chung Hsing University.
1971 Upgraded to the Department of Economics at the College of Law and Business, National Chung-Hsin University.
1964 Began admitting students to the Evening Division, implementing a dual-track undergraduate program consisting of both Regular and Evening Divisions.
1961 Reorganized as the Department of Economics, College of Law and Business, Taiwan Provincial Chung-Hsin University.
1958 Renamed as the Department of Economics by order of the Ministry of Education.
1955 Reorganized as the Department of Public Finance, Taiwan Provincial College of Law and Business.
1949 The Department of Public Finance at the Taiwan Provincial College of Public Administration was established.
