The Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica - Taiwan’s premier academic institution for economic research - recently named its new Director, Juin-Jen Chang, Research Fellow. The appointment ceremony was held on January 2, 2025, and hosted by the President of Academia Sinica, Dr. James C. Liao. 

Dr. Juin-Jen Chang holds a Ph.D. in Economics from National Taipei University. He has been serving at the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica since 2001, having held positions as Assistant Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, Research Fellow, and Deputy Director. He is an outstanding researcher in Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, and International Economics. 

In addition to his new role as Director, Dr. Chang also serves as Convenor of the Economics Discipline at the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), where he will continue to drive the advancement and development of economic research domestically and internationally.
